Ziggodome

Ziggodome

During the minor Art & Urbanism, we sat around a table with an alderman from the province of Brabant.

A sentence from this conversation that stuck in my head was “suppose there was a ziggodome (big concert hall) in brabant (province in the Netherlands), then fewer people would leave for the randstad (big cities)”. I found this such an absurd example because I experience the opposite, I often look for the quiet and belated places of cities as I wander around with my analog camera. The opposite of a place like the ziggodome, in response to the conversation I made this installation with analogue photos of the remote places of Brabant cities and the beauty of it with the title “ziggodome”.
